Research Overview
Professor Twogood's education scholarship examines how physiotherapy learners integrate basic science and extended basic science knowledge into clinical reasoning. Her doctoral research extends the concept of basic science beyond traditional biomedical domains, drawing on cognitive integration, adaptive expertise and preparation for future learning. She also leads scholarship on equitable admissions processes, and contributes to national conversations on AI integration in physiotherapy education.
