Research Overview

Professor Robitaille's educational scholarship focuses on the education of physical therapy students in the area of therapeutic exercise prescription. He is passionate about empowering the next generation of physical therapy students with the competencies necessary to facilitate evidence-informed, person-centered therapeutic exercise prescription to enable people across the continuum of care to effectively reach their rehabilitation goals.

Exploring the knowledge and confidence of clinical instructors
This ongoing research explores the knowledge and confidence of clinical instructors related to physical activity and exercise prescription guidelines.
Exploring perspectives of physical therapy students
This ongoing research explores the perspectives of physical therapy students in Canada on learning clinical reasoning skills that inform individualized physical activity and therapeutic exercise prescriptions.
Development of an Intentional Learning Management System
This ongoing research works towards the development of an Intentional Learning Management System in the MScPT Program: Understanding the Needs of MScPT Students.
