Prof. Tricia Twogood is an Assistant Professor (Teaching Stream) in the Department of Physical Therapy, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, where she holds a continuing appointment.
Her primary teaching responsibility is as Academic Co-Lead for Units 1 and 2 of the MScPT program, where she works collaboratively with colleagues to deliver curriculum to the program's first-year cohort. In Fall 2026, she will be part of the team extending delivery to the Scarborough Academy of Medicine and Integrated Health (SAMIH).
Prof. Twogood is a Doctoral Candidate in Health Professions Education Research at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME), University of Toronto, in collaboration with The Wilson Centre. Her research focuses on how students in entry-level physiotherapy programs integrate and apply foundational science knowledge in clinical reasoning.
A physiotherapist with advanced orthopaedic training, Prof. Twogood holds a BScKin from the University of Calgary, an MScPT from the University of Toronto, and an MClSc from Western University. In 2014, she achieved Fellowship status with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT).
