Special Rehab Grand Rounds - Identifying Long COVID in clinical practice: would you recognize it if you saw it?

The Rehabilitation Science Research Network for COVID is hosting a Special Rehab Grand Rounds - Identifying Long COVID in clinical practice: would you recognize it if you saw it?, presented by Jessica DeMars, PT (Breathe Well Physio) on Thursday April 18, 2024 from 12-1pm EDT

Physiotherapists and rehabilitation providers working in a variety of settings in the community will likely encounter individuals living with Long COVID. This session will provide clinicians with guidance on how Long COVID may present in their patients, how to screen for red flags, and what entails safe rehabilitation for this population, based on current guidelines. 

The learning objectives of this session are to:

  • Review symptoms and pathophysiology of Long COVID
  • Identify screening tools and Patient Reported Outcomes for people with Long COVID
  • Discuss safe rehabilitation principles in people with Long COVID

The Special Rehab Grand Rounds will be hosted online (via Zoom) and in-person at the Rehabilitation Sciences Building (500 University Avenue in Toronto, ON).
