Assistive Technology, Aging, and Disability: Integration of Perspectives on Adaptation and Accommodation (Conducted at Illinois)
Short Bio:
Dr. Tai-Te (Ted) Su received his undergrad and graduate trainings in Physical Therapy and Assistive Technology in Taiwan. He obtained a PhD in Community Health with a minor in Statistics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research centers on the intersection of disability, aging and technology. During his PhD research, he focused on understanding the dynamics of disability among the general older adult population. In his current postdoctoral training with Dr. Kelly O’Brien and Nancy Salbach, he builds on this line of research and specifically examines episodic disability experienced by individuals aging with chronic conditions and assesses the role of technology and rehabilitation in supporting health outcomes among this population.
