Sharon Gabison, PhD, PT is a Physical Therapist and well respected advocate in the Autism and Developmental Disability communities who has been able to combine her research, clinical and personal experiences to help improve access to funding and services for individuals living with disabilities at the provincial and local policy levels. In her professional life, Sharon advocates for her clients and ensures that clients possess the health care literacy they require to become empowered. She continues to educate future health care professionals in her volunteer roles and as Faculty at the University of Toronto, Department of Physical Therapy.
