Rehab Rounds: Care Watch Ontario

Care Watch Ontario will be presenting “Dangerous myths about seniors: What do they mean
for policy and practice?” at Rehab Rounds on Thursday May 3, 2018 from 12:10 to 1:00 pm.  This event will take place in room 132 of the Rehabilitation Sciences Building at 500 University Avenue.

Fern Teplitsky, MA, BScN, Past member-at-large, Board of Directors

Michèle holds a Master in Environmental Studies from York University, and a BSc (Cum Laude) in Social Work from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Her foci have been community planning, social policy and legislation. She believes in the strength of community and values community action.

Gail’s experience spans various health care settings, beginning at the University of Toronto, where she helped manage health services research projects.
She became involved with services for seniors while at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, where she worked with the
GTA LHINs on obtaining approval for their Aging at Home initiatives.

Fern has been an advocate for seniors for over 30 years. She has worked with CNAP, the Toronto Central LHIN, Central LHIN, Ryerson University and the Toronto District Health Council. Fern has a Masters in Policy and Planning for the Elderly in Ontario from York University and
a BSc in Community Nursing from Concordia University
