Ready, Set, Go! Path to an active lifestyle after transplant is an education symposium designed to educate transplant recipients of all ages the benefits of healthy active living through exercise.

Our two-day education workshop is aimed to help transplant recipients:
- Understand the benefits of exercise and physical activity after a transplant
- Start an exercise program and/or improve their current fitness level
- Meet training goals through hands-on fitness and sport-specific training
Saturday October 17
The education workshop will offer two streams: 1) children and adolescent transplant recipients and 2) adult transplant recipients. The full day education workshop on Saturday October 17 will be held at Rehabilitation Sciences Building, University of Toronto, at 500 University Avenue, Toronto and will address topics such as:
- Exercise Training
- Injury Prevention
- Nutrition
- Goal setting
- Training for general fitness and sports
- And many more!
Sunday October 18
The optional second day on Sunday October 18 is a sport training session held at Variety Village at 3701 Danforth Avenue, Scarborough. Experienced volunteers will train and coach transplant recipients with hands-on fitness and sport-specific training which include:
- Track & Field
- Running (5 km, Sprints, Relay)
- High Jump
- Long Jump
- Ball Throw
- Swimming
- Tennis
- Bowling
- Weight Training
- Cardio
- And many more!
