Dr. Aileen Davis Receives 2016 Physical Therapy Alumni Achievement Award

The Physical and Occupational Therapy Alumni Association at University of Toronto honours Dr. Davis for her commitment to scholarly activity, education, administration, and advocacy.

Dr. Davis is a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at University of Toronto (1981). As a physiotherapist trained in clinical epidemiology, she is a renowned scientist, educator and an engaged mentor who has demonstrated longstanding dedication to the field of physical therapy.

“Dr. Davis has put physiotherapy on the map in advancing the field of musculoskeletal and arthritis research, practice and policy” says Department of Physical Therapy Assistant Professor Dr. Kelly O’Brien. “What makes Dr. Davis so exceptional is the combination of her wealth of knowledge and passion for the field, which is evident in her research, teaching and graduate student supervision.”
