MScPT Research Curriculum Information Session

Research Unit Coordinators in the Department of Physical Therapy MScPT program at the University of Toronto invite physical therapists with a Professional or Research Masters or PhD degree to participate as a research advisor to one of 21 student groups. Therapists are asked to submit an outline for a research project for a group of 4-5 MScPT students to undertake and to serve as a research advisor on that project.

An information session on the MScPT research project submission process is being held on Thursday April 12th from 4:30-6:30pm in Room 140 at 500 University Avenue (refreshments will be provided).   Please RSVP no later than Thursday April 5 2012.

Who should attend?

Individuals interested in submitting a project and serving as an advisor in the MScPT program

Who can serve as an advisor?

  • One advisor must be a physical therapist with a Professional or Research Masters or PhD degree
  • A group of 1-3 advisors can collaborate on and submit a project

  • Overview of the MScPT research curriculum
  • Drafting an appropriate project outline
  • Suitable research methodologies
  • Tips for successful project implementation
  • Linking with faculty advisors
