Dr. Mathur Receives 2016 CRHP Distinction Award
The CRHP Distinction Award was created to recognize a respiratory healthcare professional who is actively engaged in the mentorship of other health-care professionals, and serves as a role model for professionalism and volunteerism.
As Chair of the CRHP Research Committee, Dr. Mathur was selected on account of her significant contributions to respiratory care over the last 5 years of CRHP membership, as well as her commitment to excellence in leadership, education and research in respiratory and physical therapy. This award highlights her mentorship capacity, as well as her ability to build and strengthen strong professional relationships across various professions, departments and universities.
Dr. Mathur was presented the award at the 2016 CRHP Annual General Meeting on Thursday, April 14th 2016, in conjunction with the Canadian Respiratory Conference (CRC) in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Canadian Respiratory Health Professionals (CRHP) is the multidisciplinary healthcare professional assembly of the Canadian Thoracic Society. Originally established in in 2005 under the auspices of the Canadian Lung Association, CRHP has grown in its mission and scope to promote lung health through inter-professional collaboration and capacity building in lung health research, education and knowledge translation.
