MScPT Advanced Standing Application Deadline

Applications for the Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) Advanced Standing Option are now being accepted. The MScPT Advanced Standing Option is a professional graduate degree program that allows eligible physical therapists with a BScPT (or equivalent) to acquire the MScPT degree. This 12-month program includes both online and on-site courses – a hybrid model providing an enriched educational experience. The focus of this program is on the integration of research to practice.

The program is also offered to physical therapists who are licensed for independent practice in Canada and who received their physical therapy degree from a recognized international program, as evaluated by the University of Toronto. Therefore internationally educated physical therapists who meet our eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply.

We will consider applications from Physical Therapists who have successfully completed the national Canadian Physiotherapy Competency Examination (with the exception of individuals licensed to practice in Quebec) and are licensed for independent practice in Canada with a provincial regulating body. Applicants must also have completed an appropriate physical therapy bachelor degree or equivalent as assessed by the University of Toronto. As per School of Graduate Studies’ regulations, applicants must have obtained a final average of at least mid-B from a recognized university.

Applications must be paid for and completed, and supporting documents (including letters of reference) received in the department by 11:59PM on March 31, 2016.
