“From the community to long-term care: addressing complex populations“
Presenter: Caitlin McArthur, MScPT, PhD/Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Caitlin McArthur is a registered physical therapist and postdoctoral fellow at McMaster University and the GERAS Centre for Aging Research. The mission of her research program is to improve the access to and effectiveness of rehabilitation services for older adults living with complex health conditions. Dr. McArthur’s current research focuses on fracture risk assessment in home and long-term care, and interactive technology to help older adults exercise at home. Dr. McArthur is a lead clinical instructor for Bone Fit™, a continuing education course for exercise providers (e.g., physical therapists, kinesiologists, exercise instructors) regarding how to work safely and effectively with people with osteoporosis. She also has expertise in health services research, epidemiology, and knowledge translation.
