Dr. Alisa Grigorovich is a critical gerontologist and a CIHR Health System Impact Postdoctoral Fellow at KITE-Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, University Health Network. Her program of research focuses on aging and stigma in rehabilitation and chronic and continuing care settings, with particular attention to the experiences of marginalized older adults living with chronic illness and/or disability. Her research also addresses how intersecting forms of structural stigma at the level of cultural norms, public policy, and professional practice contribute to violence and discrimination at the interpersonal level. Dr. Grigorovich draws on critical social theory in her research and has expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research, policy analysis, knowledge syntheses, and arts-based knowledge translation.
