June 15, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
In this panel session we explore the impact of Covid- 19 on disabled people in the community. Disabled people are part of a diverse community of people living with mind-body differences, part of many other communities – BIPOC and mixed race, LGBTQ2S+, citizenship/immigration status, and geographic location. Covid -19 has exacerbated existing health inequities that disabled people face in seeking health information and health care. We critically examine how Covid- 19 has disrupted the lives of disabled people The speakers will discuss from their lived experiences and /or research how the pandemic has unfolded for disabled people.
